School Milk has been received with tremendous enthusiasm and support. Since 1991 we have focused on low School Milk prices, increased accessibility, nutrition education and milk promotions. In addition, we have recently incorporated new ways to promote healthy eating and active living. The volume of milk sold in all schools across Newfoundland and Labrador prior to the Program being launched in 1991 was 90,000 litres a year. Now the annual consumption of milk is nearly  one million litres, or 4 million servings. This success is the result of the efforts of the School Milk Coordinators, students, parents, teachers, staff, volunteers and our funding partners.
